With this architectonic installation, Rob Voerman gives flesh to the capitalist dystopia that seems to come closer with each passing day: an ‘infocalypse’ that announces the bankruptcy of democracy. The lines that connect the different elements in the installation symbolize global geopolitics, with its neocolonial relations between countries, all-powerful companies such as Facebook and Cambridge Analytica, and head-in-the-sand politics vis-à-vis climate change and diminishing biodiversity. A blueprint for a world that is taking shape even if we can’t see it yet.
