Algorithms screen your face to match it with the characteristics and other personal information of a deepfake profile. Sounds like a dystopian nightmare? The biometric installation Fake Me Deep is confrontational but also empowering. The robots match your facial features with a deepfake you have created yourself. You dictate the fictional characteristics of your avatar and bring this persona to life during your visit to Fake Me Hard by applying a variety of deepfake techniques. The message: if we are being fooled by technology, we should learn to fake harder and better ourselves.
