Lu Yang's triptych Material World Night features an anime-like cartoon character whom embarks on a journey into the illusions that we humans create in order to navigate a world that is largely unknown to us; Heaven and Hell, but also philosophical constructions such as ego and hierarchy. In this beautiful game world nothing is what it seems and the shells of our reality are gradually exposed.
