Allow yourself to be mesmerized by the abstract light and sound patterns of Phyllotaxis. Controlled by an algorithmic composition and repetitive patterns, the installation transforms the space into a hypnotic vortex. It is a digital, automated equivalent of the natural phenomenon phyllotaxis, in which leaves grow along a stem in a repeating spiral. A generative computer program is controlling the images which are partly generated by a real-time sound analysis. The internal interaction between different algorithms results in an ongoing composition of light, sound, and movement, that – just like the repetitive precision of nature – attracts and amazes.
